A few snippets from my rough storyboard for YCN's Fairtrade short brief. Working around my tagline; "I make fairtrade food,because fairtrade food makes me", the animated coffee beans work together to create a farmers figure, highlighting the huge differences buying fairtrade makes to poverty-stricken communities, and sustaintable employment, yadda yadda yadda...

Yes, i quote Boooooooom! far too often, but i had to blog these beauts! Fernando Vincents eerie portraits manage to create a perfect harmony between the clinical human, and the classic beauty of Hepburn etc....

We forget so easily that like lions and birds, we're essentially just mere biological creatures, masquerading under fashion,careers,etc as higher beings.With our new Illustration brief focusing on Animalism, i'd previously considered anthropomorphism, but it seems to obvious. Theres enough stag headed line drawings gracing every shirt in Topshop right now, so now im verging on a more anatomical route, researching taxidermy, behaviour and habit.

I'm in love with Daniel K Sparkes work featured on BOOOOOOOM!  Finding the perfect balance between playful mixed media and a polished intelligent outcome. Got me thinking about humans as buildings, is man itself a man-made notion? etc etceraaaa
